Marijane Lundt is a dedicated child advocate. Marijane joined Gateway
in April, 1997, when Gateway had five small offices and a small conference
room on the third floor of the G Wing of the Newark Beth Israel Medical
Center. In January 2004 Gateway and the Northwest New Jersey Maternal
and Child Network merged to become the Gateway Northwest Maternal and
Child Health Network. Gateway Northwest now employs 35 health professionals
with offices in both Morristown and Newark.
Marijane
has worked for the Connecticut State Department of Education as a Nutrition
Consultant for the Child Nutrition Programs. While at the Department of
Education, she was responsible for the administration of the Child Care
Food Program and Non-Food Assistance Program. Marijane was Assistant Director
of the New Haven Public Schools School Lunch Program and was responsible
for implementing the School Breakfast Program and Summer Food Services.
In Connecticut Marijane also spent 8 years as the Director of Residence
Halls and Food Services at Connecticut College in New London. Prior to
joining Gateway, Marijane was at the Prudential Insurance Company of America
for 10 years and was the "Focus on Children" Program Officer at the Prudential
Foundation, funding projects and programs dealing with children and the
issues that affect children's lives. Marijane has a Bachelor of Science
in Food and Nutrition from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree
in Public Administration. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for
The Leaguers, Inc., Program for Parents and the New Jersey Poison Information
Education Services.
